At the foot of Mt. Lovćen, far enough and hidden enough from the view of enemies and close enough and open for all friends, lies Cetinje
Cetinje – a museum-town, for centuries the capital of Montenegro and centre of its spiritual life and statehood. The canvas of centuries-past on the facades of Cetinje's buildings treasure the memories of times past, from the days when the town was established to the establishment of the modern European capital.
Cetinje’s urban development, tightly linked to the history of Montenegro, managed to achieve a unique architectural ensemble in a small area, which reflects almost all eclectic styles from the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries.
Preserved characteristics of the authentic architecture, whose every stone represents an historical event and legend make this small town at the foot of Mt. Lovćen grand and important. Cetinje’s museums treasure valuable testimonies of the centuries-long struggle of its daring and brave inhabitants for freedom and spiritual development through written words and tradition.
Cetinje is one of the towns that should be visited at least once during one's lifetime.

Njeguši
Only ten kilometers away from the old royal capital is the village of Njeguši, famous as the birthplace of many Montenegrin rulers.
The village of Njeguši is located beneath Mount Lovćen, known for, among other things, its numerous delicacies: prosciutto, cheese, kastradina (smoked sheep meat) and sausages. Prosciutto is made from pork and the special flavour is obtained thanks to the mixture of the sea and mountain air and the woods used for drying.
