Kosirjevo Monastery was relocated to Petrovic during the 60's due to the creation of an artificial accumulation lake on the left bank of the River Trebišnjica. The monastery is dedicated to the Birth of the Mother of God.
The present church is 159 metres high. Its base is triple-nave with two domes. One dome was built on the square base in the middle part of the church, while the other was built on the bell tower on the west side. The church was reconstructed in the original location in the old Byzantine style in 1865 by the master Tomo Tomašević. At the end of the 19th century, in 1898, Djinovski painted the icons.
It is not known when the monastery was founded. Historical data indicate that the monastery dining room was built in Kosirjevo in 1692.
