St. Nicholas's Church
This church is the seat of the Bar Archbishopric, founded in 1089. Pope Clement III confirmed its founding by sending the Palij (a cloak) to the archbishop of the seat of Duclea and giving him three episcopates (Bar, Kotor, Ulcinj, Svač, Skadar, Drivosta and Pilot), and after that the Serbian, Bosnian and Travunian states. The archbishop of Bar bears the title of Primas Serbiae.
