At the place where the River Tara forms one of its last stretching and makes a plateau and before the Tara cliffs become one, above the beautiful river, there is the Monastery of St. Djordje in the village called Dobrilovine. The Monastery is situated in a picturesque area of the Tara canyon, between the rocky cliffs on the plateau above the river. The peace and quietness of this area are only disturbed by the sound of this clear mountain river. The Monastery in Dobrilovina had a turbulent past. It was the symbol of the literacy and the resistance in that time, and was often attacked by the Turks. It was for the first time mentioned in 1592
