In the Tara River canyon, between the places Bistrica and Dobrilovina, 950 metres above the sea level, there is a virgin forest with the black pine trees called Crna Poda. The size of the forest is 20 hectares while the average age of the pine trees, which can be 45 metres high, is 400 years.
The strait named Đavolje lazi (the Devils` Lies) is situated below the Crna Poda, where the Tara River bed is narrowed to only 2 to 3 metres of width. The mountain here succeeded in taming the fast and wild river and it allowed to humans to make a bridge made of a tree
