In the Bjelasica Mountain foot there are the ruins of the Medieval town and what remained of the mine cop called Brskovo. The mine cop was most probably operational during the forties in the XIII century. In that time the town that developed was to become later the centre of the Dubrovnik and Kotor caravan trade. In the town of Mojkovac there was a small workshop for producing forged coins after which the town got its name. It used to be a small town, surrounded by walls, with one tower at both the western and the eastern part of the town.
